Kimberly Carlson McGee

Faulkner & Graves proudly announces the addition of Kimberly Carlson McGee to the firm.

Kim Carlson McGee brings to our firm a wide variety of experience, ranging from private practice to public service to political consulting. She spent more than a decade as a highly regarded employee in the Court Operations Division of the Connecticut Judicial Branch.

As a result of her work in the court system, she developed a vast knowledge of legal procedure. She was valued by attorneys and judges alike for her reliability and capability in addressing any question posed. During her tenure with the Connecticut Judicial Branch, she took great pride in promoting the tenets of fairness and efficiency in all court processes. Kim entered private practice in 2012 where she further developed her legal skills and experience practicing in such areas of the law as probate, land use, municipal law, litigation and personal injury. She is also admitted to practice in the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court.

McGee displays a natural confidence, so it is no surprise that she has assumed a leadership role in many of her endeavors. She was team captain for two sports while at Colby College from which she graduated cum laude as a government major. At the Dickinson School of Law (at Penn State) she was president of the Moot Court Board. Since 2014, she has held an appointed seat on the Board of Governors for the Connecticut Bar Association. In addition, she is a member of the CBA's Legislative Policy and Review Committee and she serves as its liaison for the Court Visitation Program for high schools in New London County. McGee also sits on the Board of Managers of the Mystic Ocean Community YMCA and on the medical ethics committee of a local hospital. She is a proud member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyer's Association, an organization dedicated to the rights of accident victims.

McGee is a native of New Britain where she was a member of the nationally acclaimed Golden Hurricanes Marching Band. While in college, she was employed by U.S. Congressional Representative Nancy L. Johnson of Connecticut’s Sixth District. She now lives in Mystic with her three children. Her professional experience and family life are strong foundations for representing our clients.
